Philip Marris is CEO of Marris Consulting, a management consultancy based in Paris, France, focused on industrial operations.
He has designed, sold and executed over 90 transformation projects in France, Europe and the rest of the world. He started his LEAN journey in 1983 and has been trying to adapt this approach to various industries ever since. He started his Theory Of Constraints (TOC) journey in 1986 when he joined Creative Output France and worked with Eli Goldratt and Issi Pazgal. He is involved in the “TOC + Lean” movement and founder of the LinkedIn “TLS – TOC Lean & Six Sigma” group. He is a founding member of the TOC France Association and a member of the TOC Institute Advisory Board (India).
Philip Marris was previously in charge of Manufacturing Operations in large consulting firms (Capgemini Ernst & Young, Bossard Consultants). He has over 29 years of experience in industry and in consulting and has taught, talked and consulted in over a dozen countries, including France, England, Germany, USA, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and Mexico. He publishes about 6 articles a year and is a regular speaker at international conferences. Philip Marris started his career as a production engineer in the steel industry in France. He is English and is bilingual and bi-cultural English / French.
Philip Marris wrote the best-selling textbook in French on how to implement TOC in manufacturing operations – “Le Management Par les Contraintes en gestion industrielle”, 1994, 1996 and 2000. He is currently finishing a new edition.
